Mamie had trouble getting comfortable all night, due mostly to difficulty breathing. She was not in much pain or terrible discomfort, but she just couldn't stay comfortable in one position for any length of time. At 6:40 this morning (Thursday) I asked her if she wouldn't be more comfortable if I gave her a pain pill, and she said OK. She took the pill and I held the glass of water while she drank through a straw. About five minutes later she left quietly and easily to live with Jesus.I invite you to share stories of things you remember about her in the guestbook.Most people remember her as a very happy little girl, even when things weren't going well. We need to remember that she is happier now than she has ever been. She will have so much to tell us when we see her again. People have been asking about donations. Camp Smile-a-Mile would be a good one (see link on this page) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Knock-Knock Book: If I Hear God Knocking, Do You Think I Should Answer?

Five women from Huntsville, Alabama, had nothing better to do one day than write a book about God knocking in their lives. The result of this challenge was that each one of us had to think about what this meant, and when we all finally got on the same track, we realized something rather mind-boggling: There were many times God had given us opportunities (the Knock-Knocks) to shine in His light and share His story of love, and we had missed some of them. However, being the patient God that He is, we also found out that we had actually heard His knock and done something about it, sometimes not even realizing we were answering a call at the time. He does work in mysterious ways!

French Women Don't Get Fat

It took less than a week for me to get back into my harried life - eating on the run, shoving food in my mouth while I talked on a conference call and simultaneously completed and emailed reports. I was back to the fast lane and fast food take out. The French have less than an 11% obesity rate (and ours is 30% and climbing.)

The French simply eat the freshest food in season, they enjoy what they eat and they walk every where! We cannot avoid food. We need it to survive. But we can choose fresh foods in season that we love, make meals with a few favorite ingredients and savor every bite.

Once we slow down and let our taste buds enjoy great food again, we will give our stomachs the twenty or so minutes it needs to signal - hey that was delicious but I am done now. You can stop. Save the rest for another time. Granted, we should not use food as a deterrent for issues we are not dealing with in life. We need to ask - what exactly is eating me right now? And deal with it.

Be healthy & Loose weight

Incase, you were wondering why I have a lot of post for today. Well, it goes something like this. I host many parties...Tupperware, Avon, Mary Kay, etc... But, one thing I have yet to understand is this. People will show up for these parties, eat, laugh, drink and have a great time. I decided to have a party about Health. I am working on the invitations and stuff.

Here is why: (Pray it makes since, I think faster than I type. ;) LOL! )

1997 ~ I have had pains in my lower stomach and back since having my tubes tied. In and Out of the hospital. Many many times!!! Doctors told my husband I was making it up. I wanted attention. YEAH RIGHT!

2004 ~ Anyway, I met a lady Karol who had cancer and doctors told her if she didn’t do what they said she would die. Meaning radiation. She told them she would do it her way. A healthier way. Years later she is healthier and cancer free!

Aug. 2004 ~ I told her my pains. She told me I needed to join RBC. I told her that I have tried every thing out there to help with pain and losing weight. Nothing works. Karol said, I will make a believer out of you. She started gave me MSM and Microhydrin Plus in the beginning of August. I followed the directions and took them everyday. The end of August I ended up in the hospital with really bad pains. The doctors told my husband I was faking. So, they sent me home.

October 2004 ~ pains are increasing... Then the pains were so bad. I was screaming on the top of my lungs. Out of control screaming. My husband rushed me to the hospital. The nurse comes out and sees I am screaming in the car and in a ball. She gets a wheel chair and goes straight to X-Ray. Keep in mind I haven't even check in. They do not even know my name. Then after x-ray's the nurse tells me to use the bathroom in a cup before she give me pain medication. After trying to calm down enough to use the bathroom. She comes right in and put and IV and shots me with a muscle relaxer and pain. She tells my husband I bet she has kidney stones. The nurse leaves.

I am starting to relax but the pain is still real bad. Later on, the nurse comes in and says. Yes, she has kidney stone larger than a peanut. How long have you had this pain. I told her since, 1997. She said, no way. These things are HUGE. The pain had to keep you from a normal life. I said yes. Then, the doctor comes in and says they will remove these kidney stones. They are larger than he has seen. He gave me pain med and muscle relaxer to keep me comfortable until they removed them. A few days, later they removed them. They even took pictures. They are larger than a peanut. He even saved me parts of one.
